On the 18th May 2018, Meghan Markle travelled to Windsor Castle with Prince Harry. The couple were joining Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and meeting the Queen for afternoon tea.
Later, Meghan and her mother Doria Ragland arrived at the Cliveden House Hotel ahead of the Royal Wedding.
Here’s a video of the two arriving:
On her way in to the hotel, journalists asked Meghan how she was feeling. The bride-to-be replied that she felt “wonderful”.
Meghan’s outfit:
Meghan is wearing a navy blue dress by Roland Mouret.
It’s the Canadian designer’s “Barwick” dress.
The wool crepe dress features angled panels, an “alternative take” on he boat-neckline and a handkerchief waterfall off to the side of the dress’s knee-length skirt.
Roland Mouret describes the dress as having an “ultra feminine silhouette.” The dress retailed on Roland Mouret’s website for £1,350 GBP (around $1,818 USD).
Sadly, the navy blue colour Barwick dress is sold out across multiple retailers. However, the dress is still available in poppy red and eau de nil blue.
Meghan fans knew a Roland Mouret dress would feature at some point this weekend, the bride-to-be regularly wore Mouret’s designs on the red carpet and the two are close friends. From the Telegraph:
Markle’s decision to wear her friend’s design on the eve of her wedding day could be seen as either a consolation for her not having chosen him for the main event or an amuse bouche for the dress to come. “Mmmmm, I don’t want to say. No comment. It’s… there is no comment on that. She’s a friend. And that’s… I can’t say,” has been one of Mouret’s few comments when asked about whether he is dressing his old friend for her big day.
Meghan wore the navy blue dress with a pair of Manolo Blahnik BB pumps in grey. The former actress appears to favour the BB pumps, she owns the style in several colours (see below).
Nordstrom describes the pumps as “simply gorgeous: A classic pointy-toe pump available in a range of beautiful finishes features an alluringly low-cut topline and a wrapped stiletto heel.” The grey colour worn by Meghan is not currently available (at the time of writing).
